a Day in Fennimore with Chase
Iād been following Oak and Oscar for a year or two before I was able order my first from Chase and the team. I knew they were out of stock when I ordered, and impatiently waited my turn, following along on all the social platforms to get a hint on when they would be delivered. When Chase seemed to know the time was near, he invited those of us that were waiting, to pick up our watches in person, at the HQ.
Having the opportunity to meet Chase and the team behind the watch was really cool. Hearing the stories from Chase behind creating and developing his brand, and then getting to watch Nathan do some work and see his bench, really made me feel connected. We chatted for a bit and I wandered around, meeting and chatting up different owners. It felt comfortable.
Knowing Chase and Nathan were both fly fishers, I talked them up a bit and learned that Nathan was just taking up fly tying. Chase had been tying but was still a novice, and knew John and the team over at Chi Fly. Our conversation spilled over to text messages and before you knew it, we were looking for a time to go fishing.
